Sometimes, from the smallest seeds grow the largest dreams.
For the past 10 years, I’ve wanted to homestead. My hope for my family of four is to someday have access to a bit of land and on it raise as much food as possible – with a huge garden, chickens, bees, and, the capper, (YEP!) a dairy cow. It will be a practical manifestation of my faith and of my stubborn belief that simple living can be a real response to social justice issues, not to mention of my deepdown love of nature and the seasons.
Also, for as long as I can remember, I’ve loved beauty; I love creative things, love fashion, love design. I majored in English and Psychology in college, but if I had to do it over again, I’d study something in art. I’ve trolled blogs and Pinterest for years, am a total glutton for pretty images. I bought a camera in 2013 with the idea of starting a blog to track our journey toward semi-selfsufficiency, but what I discovered is that I love creating pretty images myself! Finding pictures within the camera is as great as finding them online, and sharing them with others is even more fun.
Anyway, one thing leading to another, here I am: NOT blogging about sustainability, with a newfound interest in photography. We’ll see where we go from here.
